“We are an independent investment bank, that is proactive, thoughtful, and client focused in every endeavour. Unencumbered by balance sheet conflicts, our specialist approach helps clients stay one step ahead of developments in the market and allows us to outpace competitors’ less-tailored thinking."
Launched in 1991, Fieldstone is an independent investment bank and financial advisor with over US$ 50 billion in completed transactions to date.
From the outset, Fieldstone created a global practice in energy and infrastructure; we are currently engaged in mandates in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa.
Fieldstone entered the African market in 1996 with the opening of an office in Johannesburg and went on to become a recognised leader in the industry with US$ 14 billion in completed transactions throughout the continent.
Our advisory capabilities extend beyond financing (debt and equity) and M&A transactions to include governmental and strategic consulting projects and formulation of debt restructuring programmes.
With our expertise in energy, we are at the forefront of advances in Energy Technology, including advisory on hydrogen development, electric vehicles and related infrastructure, hybridisation of storage and renewables, alternative fuels, as well as off-grid and distributed commercial/industrial generation.
In addition, Fieldstone takes an active role in energy asset management platforms for private financial entities and sovereign funds.
Fieldstone acts as principal in Fieldstone Africa Investment Resources (FAIR), a subsidiary company that invests in and accesses development capital and other services for smaller renewable projects of high potential.
In Africa and frontier markets, we have broadened our practice to cover other capital intensive sectors where we can demonstrate value, including mining, hotel projects, healthcare and agriculture.
Our global footprint includes regional presence in Southern, Western and Eastern Africa (including Francophone and Lusophone coverage), and offices in London, Berlin, Washington D.C., and Lima.
Fieldstone’s international client base extends from private developers to the largest listed entities in their respective sectors and from governments and development finance institutions to private financial institutions and investors.
