"As an independent investment bank, we aim to be proactive, thoughtful, and client focused in every endeavour. Unencumbered by balance sheet conflicts, our specialist approach helps clients stay one step ahead of developments in the market and to outpace competitors’ less-tailored thinking."
Launched in 1991, Fieldstone is an independent investment bank and financial advisor with over USD 50 billion in completed transactions to date.
From the outset, Fieldstone created a global practice in energy and infrastructure.
Fieldstone entered the African market in 1996 with the opening of our office in Johannesburg and has become a recognized leader in this market with USD 14 billion of completed transactions throughout the continent.
Our advisory activities extend beyond financing and M&A transactions to include governmental and strategic advice and debt restructuring programmes.
Our expertise in energy is pre-eminent and we are at the forefront of the trends driving the sector’s dynamic transformation such as energy tech, hybridisation between storage and renewables, alternative fuels, off grid and distributed commercial/industrial generation.
In addition, Fieldstone structures and participates in energy asset management platforms for private financial entities and sovereigns.
Fieldstone’s activities as a principal include Fieldstone Africa Investment Resources (FAIR), a subsidiary company that invests in and accesses development capital for smaller renewable projects which might benefit from a range of assistance to reach closing.
In Africa and the emerging markets, we have broadened our practice to cover other capital intensive sectors where we can add value, including mining, hospitality, health care and agriculture.
Our global footprint features regional presence in Southern, Western and Eastern Africa (including Francophone and Lusophone capabilities), and offices in London, Berlin, Washington D.C., and Lima.
Fieldstone’s international client base extends from private developers to the largest listed entities in their respective sectors and from governments and development finance institutions to private financial institutions and investors.
